86 300E. With ignition in on position, dash lights AND rear running lights are on. That's a new one on me. Iginition off, lights off. Turn the headlights on at night, and everything else seems normal, just that dash lights and brake lights are constant. Any experience or thoughts here? Thanks in advance, allen.

Sounds like your headlight selector switch is out of alignment or broken..

Don't think so. Headlites work perfectly, fogs too, and standing lights also just right. Am I missing something else? Thanks though.

Allen, both the dash and running lights are slaved to the headlight switch. There is no relay for the dash lights. All run from the headlight switch. Something is amiss there or some wiring is shorted somewhere under the dash. Since both systems are slaved to the headlight switch, that's where I'd start looking.
