How do you replace Self Leveling Cells?

Hi,
What is the correct way to disconnect the self-leveling cells? The factory calls for simply disconnecting without first releasing system pressure.
Since I live in an apartment building, I would like to minimize hydraulic oil spray, when I disconnect the lines.
Any suggestions?
