You know that little "shutter" or cover that covers the gear shift hole so nothing can get down there? Well, mine tore up and I ordered a new one. It should be here tomorrow. Anyway, how do I go about replacing that? I assume I wwill have to remove the center wood, but how and what else?

Some of these can be a bear and some easy. Just remove the trim ring and wood and disconnect the switches. Then, you will have to release the tabs holding the top on. I think that you will have to take out the shift knob too.
