Ok, Donnie, Steve, this one is driving me batty. Ole faithful has developed a case of the stutters with the cruise. Intermittently engages, then it hunts, and will disengage. I can reset it and it will be fine, and here is the kicker. It is fine at any speed up to 65 per. Anything over that and it goes nuts as above. I've had the amp out and apart. Looks ok re cold solder etc. Haven't gotten to the actuator yet, but, when the head gasket went, things got messy and I did a real cleanup under the hood, steam, wash etc. Did I wreck the actuator or am I looking for love in all the wrong places.. TIA

Take off all of the throttle links with balls on the ends. Clean them and pack some good grease inside then reinstall. If this doesn't help, replace cruise amp.
