Oil Filter Locatiion-5.0

Can anyone tell me the oil filter location and removal procedure on
an '02 CL500 and access to the oil pan drain plug?

Oil filter should be right at the front of the engine under the oil filter housing cap. Drain plug is obviously on the pan and requires removal of the encapsulation panel to gain access.

Yeah, I like NJ, but the weather in Florida sure is warmer in winter. The oil fliter housing cap is a black pastic cap on the round metal cannister at the front of the engine. I have a special tool that I got from parts shop here that fits it perfectly and takes it off. You could probably also get one from the dealer or a standard oil filter wrench might work on it, but I haven't tried that.
