1994 350SD Purchase Questions!

I am looking at a 1994 350SD , but am not sure if motor issues still plagued the SD up until 1994. Should I consider car or run the other way? The car has less than 75K on motor if that makes any difference. Johnny

1986 300SDL 172K
1996 Explorer 62K
