I've got an '85 300CD/T with 74K miles, purchased recently from family. I've noticed as of late that my temperature gage will, intermittantly, not register temterature. Some times it will work fine, yet other times it will not come on at all during a drive. Should I look for a loose connection, and at which end? Also, where is the sensor located? Any help would be appreciated!

HyperKyper,
Check the connection at the temperature sensor in the left side of the block adjacent to the injection pump. Rotate the connector on its terminal. It very well could be slightly corroded.
