Hello, 1st timer.
my 89 560sl 155k ..live in rural area,
many miles to dealers
Problem: changed oxy sensor, couldn't get connector out of frame rail? so, I spliced new to old..2 white wires 1 dark wire...Car ran like new for ten miles and died...switched white wires, ran two minutes and died, as in fuel starved..
turns over wont start, disconnected
oxy entirely,still won't start...
what did i foolishly do??
thanks, took me a day to find this site.

Two things come to mind. Something else is wrong,... which leads me to ask why you replaced the 02 sensor in the first place. If it started and ran for ten minutes then died, you've got something else going on. Also, the sensor may be bad, crosswired or shorted internally..Good Luck..
