I have done a search but came up with nothing.
Has anyone had this problem where the IR works when pointed at the door and trunk sensors for locking and unlocking but the IR sensor in the rear view mirror does not open the trunk.

I have new batteries in the remote and follow the instructions in the manual for opening the trunk ( press the remote twice to open the trunk) while outside of the car. The trunk opens with the inside trunk button but not the remote. I have even sat in the car and pointed the remote at the mirror sensor to open the trunk with no results. No sound, nothing at all.
