When accelerating I have a pronounced hesitation between about 2500 to 3500rpm. Engine starts OK and idles fine, problem diminishes when car has warmed up.
I have changed the rotor arm and distributor cap, new plugs + air filter. Any ideas? The car has done approx 120k miles and runs fine otherwise. It uses about 1 litre of oil per 1000 miles and has a catalyst. Ben. (W126 300se 86 manual) |

Durning acceleration the air flow position sensor is responsible for fuel enrichment. The sensor sends increasing voltage signals back to computer & it SHOULD enrichen mixture. Also fuel delivery (quanity) is important (filter).
