I get a E320 1996. Engine light came on and the code indicate P300 which is RANDOM MISSFIRE.
Any one experience this? What could it be. Please help. Thanks |

Could be as simple as sparkplugs.

My best guess is coil wire boots. I believe they are the cause of 95% of all misfire problems on M104 engines (3.2 liter and 2.8 liter engines from 1993-1997).
Your engine has 3 coil wires and 3 high tension leads (each coil wire fires two cylinders). Replace the coil wire boots or ends under the three coil wires.
