Hi All,
I was headed out to dinner and there was no power ((check engine & ESP/ABS warning lights (not the triangle) were on)). Turned off and on the car and still the two warning lights were on, shifted the transmission into neutral and stepped on the gas pedal (only 1500 rpms no more). Made a u-turn and limp back home (I was lucky, half a block distance). Has anyone heard of this before? Will be calling a service advisor for an appointment today, I will update the board with what was done. |

Traction system fault sends fuel system into LIMP mode. ESP/BAS warning lamps mean traction system failure. Dealer (retail center) should drop every thing & scan for faults. Good luck, let us know faults found.

Please let us know how things turn out! I recently purchased a 2001 SLK 320, it's still in the break-in period.
Thanks! quote: |
