I hv problem to restart my 280SE after the enginer is running for sometime or when it's hot. I need to repeat to start the car for at least 3 times without depressing the gas pedal in order to start the engine. Cold start no problem, just once start gets the engine start going. Would you advise what are the problems ? I understand from friends this is common problem for all the 280 models, is that right ? |

Have the fuel system pressures tested. If it's not holding "rest" pressure it will cause a hot start problem. It could be the fuel pump check valve, fuel accumulator, or the fuel distributor. Have a CIS System test done...if the shop you use dosn't know what that is, leave.
