Lino,

Sorry, jumped on your thread, shouldve started a new one.

PM,

Fix it right away! If it gets bad and you cant turn key, you have to tear the dash apart and do alot more work and another $100 in parts. Its a simple 5 min job if key can turn to position 1. Tool can be made from coathanger. New tumbler from MB dealer was $85 with new key. Need to show registration with vin number.

Do a search on here for igition tumbler to find info on tool and disaasembly. If you get stuck ,email me.

Fish4Stipers,

You may be able to fiddle and lube it better. Not sure. The access for a W124 is with a 3mm allen, and either under a little plastic cap or under the door seal -- depending on front or rear -- can't recall which is which but shoudl be pretty obvious.
