Hello, I'm new to this forum and in need some help with my 92 300 ce (M103 engine).
Recently, it stutters when applying throttle from idle. Also, a puff of black smoke is noticeable. HP slightly down, and MPG is down considerably as well. Any idea what goes wrong here? Thank very very much for your advise. Rgds, Benn

Hi Dsinger,

Im not sure, but my engine number start with 103...., so i presume it is m103?
Perhaps, the different is due to different country specs (i'm in Indonesia). But, thanks for pointing out sir. Rgds, Benn

Yep that's probably it. Didn't realize you weren't in the USA. In that case, yours might have the M103 engine. I really don't know...

Anyone know?

selemat pagi Pak..

Awas, benzin deri Indonesia tidah bagus !

Seriously though, I drove in Indonesia for some time and I found the quality of the petrol to be doubtful. I was driving a rented Toyota and found most of the gasoline to cause the car to ' pink ' often, especially in high gears and with exhaust emissions on the high side. Try you car with a higher octane rating if you can and see if that makes a difference......

hati hati pak !
