I'm looking to rent or buy the double row timing chain cover (stops the chain from jumping a tooth) and the tensioner pin remover. Any out there. Please contact via email @ bbeberness@aol.com. Thanks a bunch.

Hello, I found this forum in a google search for tools. I'm looking for a pinion depth tool set and other needed tools to set up a dana 35c rear end.

I'm hoping there is someone out there that just may have these tool, maybe knows where I can rent them, or even buy some cheep. (pinion depth tools $80 and up)
I know I'm going out on a limb here but it's better then the "rock and a hard place" that got me here.
Just because someone or someplace specializes in one thing does not always mean they have no knowledge or tools to do anything else.

The small DANA rear ends are incredibly similar to the w126 500/560 rear ends, close enough where I have thought about using a DANA locker in one of my pumpkins.

Anyway, try this seller, he has sold a lot of MB tools including some rear end tools recently.

Also, maybe you can contact AMG-East - Member ID = jhodg5ck he could probably shim it if you need.

Gang

I've sold my control arm removal tool to my old Mechanic in Atlanta. If you need his services, he has dealership experience and does work on the side and i'm more then happy to put you in touch with him.

I will loan the drip tool to anyone that will cover $4 for round-trip shipping (prepaid return label).

I've got the 1 13/16" if you want it. No charge but shipping. I'm not sure if the cost of the socket itself is worth the double shipping charges (at least $10. round trip).

Search for "46mm socket" on eBay and you'll find several available for under $25 including shipping (some auctions could be cheaper, if you don't mind waiting). You can always re-sell it after you're done with it to recoup most of the cost. It's barely worth the hassle to ship back & forth with the new USPS rates...
