I need to replace my temperature gauge and I can't seem to be able to get the instrument cluster out of the dash. I have taken every thing out of the dash,I can figure out how to remove and still I can't get to the back of the unit. Can you tell me the sequence of things to remove to get it out?

The speedometer comes out first. It has two knurled nuts on the back that hold a bracket.
Then work through the speedometer hole to remove the knurled nut in the center of the combination instrument to remove it from the hole. There isn't much room to work. If you need more room, the tachometer comes out the same way.
