Webber? You mean, you have webbers on your ride?
Can you please post a picture?

I was planning on an engine swap for a 350 chev but opted against it after reaserching what it takes (here mostly!).

Now I want to go with side draft webbers for my '71 280s (w108).

a little over 100 mph with the m180 engine
and
90 mph or so with the m127

funny i've been more willing to push The White Bison with old engine than with the rebuilt...

Peyton, do you have your EGR disabled? How much hp is your car. My '79 SD is only 110! It doesn't have EGR. I remember seeing though that later 300's had 120.

It is actually faster in reverse (16fwd and 16 reverse). Slow yes but very determined.

Hey David. My wagon is 123HP with a strong engine.

Late w123's have, ironically, 123 HP. That's why my parents gave me this car, they wanted me to have a slow dog of a car do i didn't kill myself. And what do i do?, I go 120mph! lol.

i love your SD btw, nice color. would love to see some more pictures of it. those S class are so classy and i looove the interiors.

Thumbs up

I managed an easy 125 mph while tailing a Porsche 928. I had lots of pedal left, but was running out of road.

You wouldn't happen to know what makes your different do you? I think the SD's have a higher ratio rear-end so they turn lower RPM's on the highway. I am turning 3000 at 70mph and a little over 4000 doing 100mph. What kind of RPM's were you turning?
Thanks
David

I've gone an indicated 100mph in my 220SE fintail and an indicated 110mph in my 126 300SE. I am leery to go any faster...I feel like I am being mean to the cars LOL

clayton, you're crazy! haha, but no i really do agree that cars possess some human elements, and DEFINITELY have a soul.

my car, peyton did not mind going 120 though. she loved every minute of it.

david, i don't recall what my rpm's were. and i also don't know what makes our engines different. i think the turbo's are different. transmission is DEFINITELY different.
