Sorry I'm being a bit clandestine about this.

What I'd ideally like is a W123 300D tachometer for my instrument panel that looks like the real thing but in fact (underneath) it is as modern as it could be. My problem is that to get hold of the original I need to get the whole system - wires and everything. I've only got the really big clock (that doesn't work too well). Most original systems that I've come across are either incomplete, overpriced, or not working.

So step one - I'm looking for a tachometer gauge that looks like the original that won't cost as much as W123 one.
