I had the flange loosen on my 4-spd in the 240D. I had the U-Joint replaced and was replacing the DL and noticed the Flange was loose and wobbley. removed it and the splines inside it were worn to a point. didn`t hurt the trans splines. this was some of my rumbling I was getting along with the U-joint.

Replaced the Flange with a good used one, and things have smoothed out.

there were three HP ratings on the OM616...

1) Not much power
2) Even less power
3) Not nearly enough power!! 240D w/auto

Anyone that thinks a 240D is slow drives too fast.
