I just bought a Becker model BE-1492 radio with a Mercedes cd changer (Mercedes part number 002 820 42 89/model MC3194) (originally out of a '95 E320) for my 560 SEL., and need to know if anyone has created or knows where I can buy a cable to run to the trunk to fit the cd-changer.
What conector will I need for the radio or is there an adapter kit I can buy I would like to make this job as easy as possible. |

There's a company called Peripheral (www.peripheral.com, I believe) that makes CD-changer cables. I just got one, along with an Alpine CHM-620S, for my early model '95 E320 (there's a different changer cable required for later models). Works like a champ. Got the changer and cable for $335 (including shipping and handling) from a company called Discount Car Stereo. There may be other, less expensive alternatives, but these folks were knowledgeable and straightforward.
Good luck, Ron '95 E320 |
