Exclamation

Yes , it is yellow with a green stripe .

However , to pen the trunk with the key , you must turn the key counterclockwise intil it is diagonal then hold it there whilst you push it in ~ the tumbler is spring loaded so it won't stay in the fully released , diagonal position , most juast turn the key to horizontal ansd remove it then depress the button , expecting the trunk to open and it won't like that , you must push the key in when it's diagonal .

There is also a "cam plate" with a "valve" attached in the aforementioned diagrams. The '84 does not have this arrangement.

Most are brown with red stripe from the key switch to the IP, brown from vacuum source to key switch.

VCV FAQ

During the process of an engine swap, I decided to remove the egr and render the valves on top of the valve cover inoperable. I just have a couple questions now, Does the line going to the transmission modulator plug into the top of the VCV (verticle) or does it go into the side (horizontal)? Then what plugs into the port in the vcv that doesn't go to the vac modulator?

There are two vac lines coming from the black box, one each goes to the top and side.

Maybe you misunderstood me, I don't have a black box on the valve cover anymore...

Okay, the side goes straight to the cabin vent, used to have a three way connector that the extra line came from the black box.
The top of the VCV has a three way connector, used to have a four way, one line came from the black box.
I have replaced those connectors with a rubber vac line and three way connector, respectively.

Vacuum from the pump goes into a T above the VCV. The far end of the T goes to the modulator and the bull goes to the VCV with a green and white dashpot in the line.

The second VCV port that's on the side is a vent. It ends up inside the cabin and allows air into the vacuum system (to bleed vacuum).

I think my SD is hooked up properly, I was wondering about how much inHg the modulator should be getting.

IIRC ; it's no more than 15" @ idle and drops to zero @ WOT .

I found adding the restrictor helped me great deal .
