Replaced engine mounts and tranny mount

And have a funny story to add at the end.
This job is not bad at all. I have been lucky in one way with my wagon as it is not at all rusty, so bolts and nuts haven't been a problem. Dont forget to detach the linkage from firewall to the throttle linkages. Bolts from the bottom were easy, but jacking up the motor delayed me briefly.(I didn't have to loosen my engine shocks as they are not currently on the wagon. Driver side holding bracket needs to be welded back into place) When I would jack the motor via a block of wood across the oil pan, the whole front of the car would raise up on the suspension, so I would lower it and look for what must still be connected. Turns out I just had to keep on jacking, and motor finally raised. After bottom bolts are out and engine is lifted, just pull metal cover off over mounts and then remove two 6mm allens. Upon re installation, it was a little difficult lining up the bottom bolts with the corresponding hole but just keep after it. Tranny mount is easy really. Two ten mm on bottom, 19mm nut on top, and 6mm allen through the center. I had to loosen the four 17mm cross member bolts and drop it a little to get top threaded part of mount into place. Oh yeah, If you remove that cross member, I don't think you have to jack up the tranny.
Here is the funny part, and it is humor at my expense.
While I'm under the wagon in the garage doing the engine mounts(this evening after dark), one of the cats comes cruising into the garage with either a normal rat or a monster mouse in his mouth. Well, that little SOB got loose, and headed under the car with me!! I screamed like a pantie wearing little girl, I'm embarrassed to say, and cracked my head on the block of wood that was pushing up on the oil pan. But I got myself out from under that car pronto. As it was running at me it started to appear more beaver-sized than mouse-size. I don't mind mice normally, but I sure don't want to be under the car with one!
If we can't bust on ourselves, than we can't really bust on others I guess.
Jimmy
(my head hurts.....)
