90 degrees 90% humidity, hard to do precision work on my burned out dash..

Its 90 degrees with 90% humidity, and its hard to do precision work on my burned out dash..I'm going to post a picture tonight showing wahts underneath a Mercedes 85 W123 300D dash.
The dash came off very easily, and was a lot easier to do then I suspected. I got a few kicks driving the car without the dash for a few days because I'm not going to put it on until everything is better tha new.
I ran a whole new wiring harness under the dash with some 100 soldered and shrink wrapped joints.
Its hard to do this on hot days and it really fries your patience.
As soon as this car is back on the road, I will sell my SAAB 9000 Turbo which was an interesting car but just not a Merecedes Diesel. I have decided to keep the Mercedes--the SAAB was jsut until I got the 300D finished....

Re:screename for Carrameow1

I was working on cars it seemed morning before work and night.
It became an obsession and after the dash fire a bit of a joke. My daughter's friend wrote in her yearbook "Hope your Dad buys a new car..".
I was starting to fix arcane things like dashboard lamps and and I actually took apart my Volvo sunroof 8 times to make it open and close properly and sit flush with the roof and to be able to vent. I came close to buying a new 300D 1985 because it had better paint and a cream interior and I was going to change out the tranny and engine. My wife made me return it.
When my daughter went and needed a car, i used it as an excuse to pick up two--a SAAB 9000 also.
Well when you have a support group like Diesel Forum, it became easy to justify. I remember reading about other guys similarly obsessed.
So I Locked myself out of my Carrameow account--on purpose and I cant get back in! Myabe I could contact the webmaster and get my access back..
BTW OCD doesnt stop with cars. Yesterday in the heat I took my ladder out and repainted a 3 inch strip of my house's trim below the roof using masking tape because I thought you could see the bleeds and runs from my hand painting it Saturday....

That is not OCD... that is just fighting the physical things which go wrong ... rust, mildew, etc.....lots of things take two coats when talking painting...
I took apart and put back together a Stihl chainsaw carb 17 times in a row.. took two days.... but it worked when I got through....
Now, if It had worked before that and I still took it apart... now THAT would be OCD...

"arcane things like dashboard lamps "... you won't consider those arcane if you can't see how fast you are going at night... LOL

"because I thought you could see the bleeds " YES !! I could see those in the pictures of your car you sent to me... it completely distracted me from admiring your car.... I am so glad you fixed that messy bleeding affect... LOLOLOL

I could have never imagined how nice it is to do car work in 70dF air conditioned comfort during the month of July in Georgia. Needless to say it makes it alot nicer.

Rephrased for additional clarity:

I could have never imagined how nice it is to do car work in 70dF air conditioned comfort, with a lift, during the month of July in Georgia. Needless to say it makes it alot nicer.
