E300D 210 chassis glow plug removal
Had to remove the manifold to access an electrical connector for testing yesterday. I had planned to remove it anyway soon to R&R my glowp lugs anyway. I had the stuck/broken glow plug problem last fall and I wanted to make sure they would all come out okay. No problem this time. They all came out very well. I reamed the holes and used some antisieze on them before reinstaling. They all tested out at 0.7 ohms too. Hopefully I'm good to go for another year when I'll probably remove them again.
Here's the thread on my bad experience last fall. Hope this doesn't happen to you. http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?t=109101&highlight=glow+plug Len '99 E300TD 78,500 miles |
