Cool, as my 1980 300SD is running around 307,800 miles.....It was at 299,999 (seriously) when I bought it on September 5th. I thought it was 312,000 miles was the first one, so I guess I'm almost due for TWO badges.

Got a link for registering with Mercedes, and what kind of roadside assistance do they offer?

Thanks,
Dunl

Strider finally got his two badges. Just 56,000 more miles till the 750,000 km badge!

The first day I put them on, a kid of about 16 walked in front of the car and reverently pointed them out to him mom. Cool.

Call their 800 number and they will give you a complete low-down on their offerings. The girl at Mercedes told me that I don't even have to change a flat tire. I haven't had to use them and probably won't.

Uhmm....feel a little bit like a fool, cause I have what appears to be a High Mileage Award on the front of my car.

But the 250,000km label is missing.......think they would replace it?

I never knew what they looked like until I went to the Mercedes site....and without the 250,00km, I just thought it was a cool decal.

Badge. Looks like the pics of the awards on the site.

Minus the 250,000km.

the baddge itself looks high quality, but the screws in the back to attach it could be of higher craftsmanship. it is free so i cant complain and i think it looks great against my black grill. the badge comes in a nice box with litterature and a award that says you drove 250k. i bought my 300D in august with 168k on it, applied for the badge and got it in 2 weeks.

Hey, wait'd a minute.....

Stupid question, but does EVERYONE have that Mercedes badge thingy underneath their star on the front grill? I was thinking that was the award with the mileage ripped off, but now I'm thinking.....NOOBIE!

Yep, I have a brand new one on mine. It looks great with the newly painted black grille.

Well, I have 264K now on my 85' 380SE, so perhaps I should send off for one as well.
