Need help please-
I removed and rebuilt the manual console shift mechanism on my 83 240D. I am now unsure if the shifting linkage is reassembled in the right order and also unsure how to reconnect to the transmission linkage correctly. I am working from an old parts schematic from M-B that is sketchy. Does anyone have a more detailed diagram of the console shift tines as well as which lever on the transmission corresponds to which gear. It will save me an embarassing tow to my shop.
