Presumed dead S350 diesel..... Look or Run?

There is a very nice S350 sitting in a driveway in a town near me.. It has been parked without moving for almost 1.5 years.... It's an S350 Turbo according to the trunk....

Ten guesses what's wrong with it.......

Would it be easily possible to put the standard 603 out of an SDL in this? or is the 140 diesel electronic like the 606 engines? will the 3.5L tranny work with a 603 3.0?

I'm remotely, barely, fleetingly thinking of getting it for my mom.. If the motor's blown it should be a cheap acquisition..... It's got 18 inch or so rims with sport rubber.... I could probably sell them, get some respectable stockers with new all-season rubber, and have money to spare......

Basically, I want to know if I could get this, get a 603, swap, and be on the road in a week or two of work......
