I tried this site and it has lots of great stuff, but I can't seem to get a paint match for my Mercedes Anthracite#172. I'll try calling tomorrow.

Drop that concept and say ' start the spray process before getting to the object being sprayed... because the rest of the part about staying the same distance, speed, direction are correct....
Consider the blend of both ideals, I was trying to think of the best way to phrase it in layman's terms, you also have a good point, I was thinking more of the motion than the spray but it is a blend of both that makes it work. It's been a few years since I've painted, but I didn't forget all of my training yet, lol.

I have even seen ads on TV which showed the painter sweeping in an arc at the end of the pass.... so I wanted to comment on it to try to offset that kind of image...

If one places the gun past the end of the car or part being sprayed... opens up the spray and then engages the part....and goes past the end of the item on the other end while maintaining what you described before about speed, distance, direction they will be in good shape...

I think so tto. I'm going to order a little extra paint just to make sure I have enough for blunders, should one happen.
