need help, 3.0L V6 engine

I am trying to install a oil pressure gauge to this engine, in a 2008 Winabago view, on dodge sprinter chassis. The winnie is 2008, but all owners manuals indicate that the sprinter is 2007. I have the dodge service manual from chryslurrr publications, on CD. This was a major waste of money, the only good info in it, is the torque specs...

This manual vaguely shows a sketch of the engine, with an arrow towards it, claiming there is an oil pressure sender screwed into the front of the oil filter housing. This engine does not have one. It seems the dash idiot light must be attached to the oil level switch in the oil pan. Where can I tap into an oil gallery for this accessorie guage? I am considering removing the oil filter assembly and drilling /tapping a 1/8" pipe thread to install the sender.

Has anyone here been down this trail ahead of me?
