W124 Ignition wiring diagram needed urgently!

I've had to pull out the ignition switch on my 1992 300D to replace the vacuum switch for the engine cutoff.

However, the plug S2/2 came apart and I don't know where the wires are supposed to go. Sheesh, what a pain. It's the wiring plug at the back of the ignition switch that connects all the wires to the ignition.

I've looked in the FSM and the ETM and haven't been able to find the colors of the wires in that plug and their positions. Searched on line too. Nothing, Nada, Niente, Niks, Zero.

Anybody maybe have a haynes manual and maybe they've got it in the there? There's 2 red wires, Green/Pink, Yellow/Pink. Picture attached. Or maybe you know where to find it in the FSM or ETM?

Grrr....

Cancel that! I just found it. Didn't delete this post in case someone else has the same problem. The wiring colors are in the diagram on page 105/1 of the ETM in the Power Distribution section. So if you're looking for the wiring of the s2/2 glow/starter switch on the back of the ignition stem on a W124 300D 2.5 Mercedes that is where to look.

Ok, disaster! Put it all back in and now it is on when the key is out or in the OFF position. With the key in 1 or Run or Start all the electrics are off, but the starter starts.

Either I fried the starter switch (forgot to unplug the battery and stuck a screwdriver in it) or I have put the wires back in the ignition wrong. I'm hoping for the latter, obviously...

Any ideas?

Yep, me again...

Got it fixed. Not sure quite how, but in taking the switch itself apart and testing the connections in the different positions against the circuit diagram it seemed it was all cockeyed. I noticed it could be put back in one of two positions, so I put it back in the second position and whaddya know, it worked. Even the missing spring back from START to RUN came back.

Weird thing is it was working before but just not with the spring back. Anyway, works perfectly now.

Lovely chatting....

Bye from me to me...

It's like those future grapes from a Pratchett book where you get the hangover the morning before you drink the wine. To the future person, you're welcome.

Today is random comment day...

Hi i have a 1992 E class 190d mercedes and when i was removing the igntion switch to replace it with a new one, the plug got dismanteled and now i have the wires hanging and dont know where each wire goes.

On the barrel there are pin codes which are:
P30

15X
30
50
15R

The wire colours are as follow:
RED / BLACK (THICK WIRE)
RED (THICK WIRE)
RED / YELLOW (THICK WIRE)
RED (THICK WIRE)
PURPLE / WHITE (THICK WIRE)
RED / GREEN (THICK WIRE) & RED / GREEN (THIN WIRE) - ON ONE CONECTOR PIN!

Please advise me as to which wire goes into with pin code.
