Unfortunately, the engine you transferred only has 85 hp from the factory. It's definitely not sufficient to push a Dodge pickup around (about 4000 lb). You really can't get much more power from it, but check out threads regarding IP timing and valve adjustment to get the most you possibly can. ...........and, plan to drive with your foot on the floor...........just like all the gassers............ ![]() |

![]() So I think with the right mods, his Dodge truck will probably be able to do at least 60 and get there within 25-30 seconds. Leonoo click here and start reading. BTW TD means touring diesel, not turbo diesel. That is MB speak for a station wagon. If you put an entire station wagon in your Dodge, it's gonna be slow. Now if you had a Cummins under the hood with the right mods, you wouldn't even feel that wagon in the back of your truck. ![]()

There is a pretty good reason Dodge chose a 5.9L Cummins with 400lb/ft of torque instead of a 3.0L engine with 180lb/ft of torque.
You can remove the fuel rack limiter and get about 15hp. To get any more than that will take a few thousand dollars in modifications. |
