Yes, I've driven it. I only got to drive my old 350SDL 40 miles or so since the motor was on borrowed time.

There's another great way to get an amazing diesel on a budget. Find a 350SDL that's about to croak with an excellent body and swap in a 603.

ha... I just want my damn panels.. If I had known hatty was going to be a pita with them and then pussy foot around with them because he broke his foot I would have never bought the damn car.. or asked for $700 off the price of it because they are expensive.

I just want my damn panels... that is all I want and I might be happy with the SDL.. that and we need to stop referencing to it as "Hattys car".. its my car now.. I have to stop refering to it as his car.. its my pile... mine.. mine mine mine mine

So how much are you looking to get daw. PM me please.
Coda is a great car. Beautiful interior.

heck if you buy my SDL chad hatty is closer to you and you can personally go bug his butt for the sound encapsulation panels.
I need to show pics to my wife to convince her. I really do love the velour interior on that SDL. When do you plan to visit CT again. Maybe you could drive it up. I'd actually be fine flying down to you if you picked me up at the airport. Then I'd drive it home and visit all my peeps on the east coast on the way home.

I will have a GTG EVERY YEAR as long as I'm alive. And just in case you didn't hear me the first time, thanks again for all your help and contributions, it was a pleasure meeting you.

Do it. I'd love to see another epic thread started in relation to the sale of that particular machine

You're right. If I lost the panel on the '95 I'd have it for sale the next day......

You could just dynamat the crap out of the SDL for your sound capsule or whatever.

Hatty's SDL reminds me of the game Hot Potato, except the potato is an SDL, and it'll get rapidly passed around until the transmission grenades itself

Looks like Captain Coda went to bed. I guess I'll have to wait until he signs on again to hear his proposal.

Your 300SEL is pretty nice too Tyler. Does it have the reclining rear seats?

I don't know if I could go back to a gasser after becoming so thoroughly obsessed with diesel. Sometimes I miss my Acura TLS and my CL, but then I get in my 123s and feel the soul that was lacking in every car I've owned prior to them.

Not a problem. Although next year make sure you get to me early about any contributions as my collection of Mercedes stuff is starting to dwindle....

No breaking, uh, I mean reclining rear seats. Don't fear the gasser, especially the inline 6 variety.

daw's car I think would be the best fit for you, though.

Also, the transmission in Hattie's former car currently owned by The Don has no transmission issues that I noticed.
