I bet all models/cars have the same chip!!! LOL. Actually, as an owner/operator long haul trucker, I am aware of "chips" or reprogramming that can be done to ECMs to improve mileage . . . some good, some totally ineffective, and some very dangerously bad. Had this chip been installable on mine without the $2K retrofit, I probably would have tried it as the price was so low, I had nothing to lose. However, I would lose $69 to order this, as there is no place to install it on my car. And the fact that it only takes one person to sell it or work the company, isn't necessarily a reflection on the effectiveness of the product. It might only mean that there is a limited potential client base, and once the product is on a shelf, it might only require one person to run the Credit Card and put the postage on. However, I find it to be misleading that all of our cars are listed, without any information regarding the required retrofit on the majority of diesel engines that our club members possess.

However, this did make for a good and humorous read, especially when we got into the comparisons with snake oil . .. .ROFL.

And I am reminded once again, why I belong to this site, with all the trustworthy, helpful people here who can keep my fat outta the fryer and give me the real dope on any questions I have. Too bad many mechanics don't listen to us, even when we give them the printouts from you, the experts . . . . but maybe it's just cause I'm a dumb truckdriver, and a woman, at that . . . .LOL. (such attitude cost someone 3 extra hours of unpaid labor cause he wouldn't heed everyone here's advice on installation of block heaters and aftermarket options. And he was soooo c*&^-sure about his way, that I challenged him to a written estimate with only 10% wiggle room . . . . was not happy to see me the next day!!!! ROFL . . .that'll teach him, huh???).

Again, thank you all for being here and being up front!!!

The chip absolutely works!

Really simple, it saves you from buying $69 worth of fuel.

Fuel saved.

This is not false advertising, what you do with the chip is up to you.

HP increase is true too.

Less fuel in the car, less weight to move around. Power to weight ratio improved. An effective horsepower increase over an equivalent but more fuel laden car. The more you drive the more effective horsepower benefit, adding up to nearly 60 HP over time.

I have added TWO similar chips to this one, in my car. I'm getting twice the fuel savings but I'm feeling a little guilty about having this all to myself, and I want to share the joy with someone else who has a similar diesel car.

Now that I've reaped the majority of the benefit of having 2 chips, I'm willing to let one go for just $49. But keep in mind, you will NOT save as much as me on fuel at this lower price. (We can negotiate a better price for your additional benefit and savings.) I realize this belongs in the buy/sell forum so I'll move the discussion over there.

would love to see the photos of the mods and the chip plugin. If you have the chip, do you consider it worth the $69? Has it improved your fuel mileage?

I don't use WVO in my cars and have no plans to. But even if you paid $69 for that one potato chip, it would be a better value than what these clowns are selling.
