300TD wagon better fuel economy and Need a rear strut

Hi,

I am new to auto work and new here, but I am getting some great feedback on my om617 swap to my fj60 and so I figured I would ask a question.

I have a blown strut in the back of my 85 300TD wagon. Anyone have a spare they will sell, or know where to get one? I am considering switching to a heavy duty airbag system if there isn't a better solution.

Next. I met a guy who has an 84 and he says he is getting almost 40mpg on the highway. I remember him saying something about insulating the fuel lines to keep them hot (170f?), does this help? What other things can I do to bump my 20mpg(around town).

Thanks,
