When I was younger I enjoyed mechanical challanges. Now tha I am 60 something years old I just want to get the Car fixed and back on the Road.

The other issues is no one knows how long the currently made Axle Boots are going to last.
The Stock type Boots on My Cardone re-built Axles lasted 3-4 years and started cracking.
If that is typical of the newer manufactured Boots having that Annular Axles is a Plus because the Boots are easy to change; and, no Boot ripping Tools needed.

We just replaced the boots on my dad's 240, just used a transmission fluid funnel and a lot of oil and slid the new ones on. It wasn't too difficult but I would recommend two people if you go that route

My 560 SEL axles are HUGE. I wonder if they have the snap rings like these smaller ones do???

Don't know the torque but degrease both threads (brake cleaner) and use a thread locker like loctite.

If the w123 manual does not seem so show the annual axles that need bolts.
Perhpas the W126 or W124 manual has it.
