Do you have a frame machine or at least a beam to pull with?

Well.... not really.

I would tend to believe that you will never get that car aligned properly without a real frame machine and measuring system.

It's more than just pulling in a single plane.

You cant pull anything back out to perfection. Once crumpled, always crumpled, and pulled back out the crumpled structure will always be some percentage weaker than before it was crumpled.

Whether a tree, several trees (BTDT), or a rack (done that too), when it gets into the heavy structure the best alternative is to remove the damaged structure and section back in undamaged structure.

In any case, its virtually impossible to return a damaged unit body back to "as it was". Thats not to say its weaker, a good body man/welder, can make the structure every bit as strong. But even the very best craftsme, cannot always do such superior work that it can be fully hidden.

Having said all this, it should be noted that metal has memory. Often a good yank in a single plane can often return a damaged area back to where it was, or so close that further pulling will only suffer to do further damage.

With the front fender off checking and pulling it out at a decent shop should not be that high a price. Ask around as to who does good frame/unibody work at reasonable prices. I doubt it is pullable at home as you have no easy refferance points. Check the floor for buckling but the harder part of the hit seems to be higher so the door post may have tweaked back a little. Accounting for the cracked windshield perhaps and front door alignment.

What ? Total BS ! I have personally seen what magic VSTECH can do by eye and pulling things out by hand. I could not tell ANY damage on the car I am getting and he did that freelance. I am impressed ! Actually, he was pretty nit-picky about pointing this and that out, so my bet is on a pull a long and a tractor from the Beverly Hillbillies.
