Does your daughter have a thing for Hello Kitty too?

Roy posted up some horrendous pictures of what Hello Kitty fans can do to a gun / car etc => I wouldn't wish that on any Benz even a slightly broken one with massage seats...

...missing windows?

I learned to drive in a standard (the Corolla) -- it's much easier to do so with thin shoes/slippers/socks. Other shoes muffled the clutch too much for me. My sister is itching for her permit so she can drive the standard (1.7 more years...).

Oh yeah? Well, my Corolla is gonna beat the stuffing out of your Mer...

oh, wait...

the Corolla takes that back..

At least you didnt try my trick ~ second hand bobcat for their 10th birthday. I was in the dog house for months over that !! All their friends at school wanted to come & play with it.
Maybe she would be better teaming up with Roy's daughter & comparing notes !!
If Stretch is going to ship you chickens, can you send me the Bobcat?

Sounds like he's picked a vehicle that is the envy of many. You could do alot worse.

I see VStech doing a Thunderboltgreaseslapper on it.

If you need to rely on something more reliable, the Corolla may be the car of choice versus an old SDL with high-miles.

Depends on the state/condition of each one?

the car in this thread is not an SDL, it's a 300D and it's a 90 model.
so, actually, this will be the NEWEST car in my fleet if I get it running for her.
I don't buy spark plug equipped cars...

For a year, I rode my bike to work to bag groceries and push carts so I could save $1700 to buy my first car; a 1995 Geo Prizm. Basically a Toyota Corolla imported by GM with a 3 speed auto and no bells and whistles. The car had peeling paint on the hood, crank 'em wank'ems and an AM/FM radio. I think it had A/C, which was surprising.

Wow, I bought that car 10 years ago. Now I drive a 1983 300SD that I paid $850 for. I think I am regressing... Somehow I wound up with a nicer car, though.

My parents had a 1990 Geo Prizm 5-door notchback with the base engine and a 5-speed manual. The thing hauled everything up to and including a queen-sized mattress, got over 43 MPG on trips from here to DC, and went 160,000 miles with a strut replacement (the clutch made it!), until a Ford Econoline rear-ended it at 50 MPH.

We never got over that.

HAHAHA !!
Its too much fun to let go !!
The best sand box toy you can get. Does a good job of re-modeling the back yard.
I would get shot if I sold it/ gave it away.
Would you sell/give away your kids birthday presents?

They were reliable cars. I think the only major thing I did was replace a timing belt because it was suggested in the maintenance schedule. I would probably still have it if I didn't rear end another car with it.
