98 Mercedes E300 injector cleaning witth Lubro Moly - YouTube

Exact same engine as I have. Is this a good way to do it?

It's like making my own little (2-3litres) tank in the engine room, and then make a mix of diesel and injector cleaner fluid - and run the engine for a while.

I've heard that the value of the diesel purge is debatable but if you do it, this seems like a good way. I don't see the need for the metal filter since the input goes through the main filter any way.

I can't view the Vid as it takes to long with Dial Up internet for it to load. If you are speaking of a Diesel Purge which Lubro Moly is one of the ones used.

I am not sure how effective what you want to use will because the other stuff is made for the job.

Look up Diesel Purge in the DIY threads and see what others have done.
