I may try to make it. Depends upon the night before (it's my kind of birthday party, watching an original film print of Vertigo on the big screen then dinner and drinks, so I may not feel up to driving 4 hours northeast.)

It sounds like a lot of fun though. But which Benz to take? My 1978 300D (which has already made the trip up to Providence and is for sale) or my 1972 220D which is about to embark on a 2000 mile drive to New Mexico? Choices, choices...

Unfortunately, my schedule gets very busy next week... I barely have trouble justifying working on the car. My Buick is sitting right now because I don't have the time to align the front end... the Corolla has no tunes (!) because I have no time... I have lots of stuff I'd like to put up on eBay but I don't have enough time to photograph stuff and list it... my room is increasingly cluttered because I have no -- you guessed it, time!

Part of the reason that I am so short on this precious commodity is that I had a concussion earlier this year because someone blew a stop sign and spun my car around. I lost about two months of schoolwork to that, and lost more time in addition this summer because my mother had surgery to remove a brain mass that had caused a serious blood clot (I am homeschooled and she is my primary teacher). Since I will be applying to college this fall and need to get lots done, I will be lucky to have much of any free time besides Sundays.
Dang it Charlie, it's any excuse that you can come up with!

I made it from Vancouver, WA to Philadelphia, PA in 4 days driving my 1978 300D.

As for the New England get together, I don't think I'm going to be able to make it. It might be a seat of my pants kind of thing to decide on tomorrow morning but I have so much to do to get ready for the upcoming drive to New Mexico.
