It got me through Atlanta Snow Jam 2014
I love my 124 300d Benz. I really wish I kept it in better condition because it showed its metal the last two days.
My Benz was started at 2PM on Tuesday and ran until 11:10 AM(21 hours) this morning when I had to part it a quarter mile from my house because the road was absolutely impassable but I only burned through a little over a 1/3 of a tank of diesel while most gasoline powered cars(Including a recent model S550 Sharp car as I spent 5 hours drooling over it, maybe someday I can afford a S350 Bluetec) had to be shut off to not run out of gas. Despite the ice and antilock brakes not really working any more I made it over 40 treacherous miles. The last 10 miles where awful this morning. I made a mistake and went too fast on the freeway this morning on the last leg and I turned and my passenger rear fender hit the median but I was able to keep going. Other than flattening the fender it did not appear to do any damage. The only reason I didn't make it home is because I had to lose momentum because of kids playing in the road and it was not possible to back up to a point where I could get adequate momentum but after some afternoon melting I brought her home. I was leaning towards wanting a 210 E300 as my next car but I'm now thinking another w124 I was warm cozy and safe. What more can I ask
