W123 Fuse Box Removal

I would like to pull out the fuse box on my w123 so I can tap into one of the circuits. I have removed the cover and the nut on the bottom bolt and it's just a little too big to pull out. Is this possible to do or am I going to force it and break something?

There is a fuse for "sliding roof" which my car doesn't have so I figure I'll use that. If someone knows how to tap into that line somewhere else without removing the fuse box, please let me know.

The fuse box comes out from behind the dash. The wire harness is long enough that the fuse block can be laid on the floor board to work on it. Your new wire needs to be dressed along this harness so this feature still works in the future.

Of course be sure to disconnect the battery negative cable first.
