Coco Mats Here I Come!

Do I have great kids or what? They pooled their resources and gave me a $250 gift certificate for my birthday to buy Coco Mats for my CDI! They have always been thoughtful gift givers...but they knocked it out of the park with this one.

Car is platinum blue on artico grey. If anyone has any thoughts on color or material, I'm open to suggestions.

That is the best give one could give. That being something you would love to have but not necessarily buy for yourself. Sorry I can't help you with your color choice.

You can order samples of the mat materials. That should help you decide on the type of material and color. I have samples of 4 different colors of their sisal material. I haven't ordered a set of mats from them yet, but having the samples really helps.

That's good to know...I'm having a hard time deciding between coco and sisal. A quintessential first-world problem if ever there were one!

If it were mine, I would try to come as close to the interior color as possible. If they had a blue/grey choice, that might be the best. However, their blue is pretty bright, and may clash with the interior color. I think the grey would be the best choice. Ruling out the obvious non-choices, you can whittle it down to just a few. After you get samples, that would make it easier to make the right choice.

It is interesting, the sisal 43 grey photo appears to be an E class, and very well could be a CDI!

Yeah, I lean toward a grey...and maybe the dark grey if I go coco. There are two tones of grey in my interior.

If I remember right, my 6.3 came with coco mats. That was 1970.

I have a sample of the sisal #42, black, and it is handsome. I think it would be worth ordering a sample of.

I was thinking that the black might make a striking contrast with the grey. When I had my black on tan 99 E300, the mats were black...looked really sharp.

My 85 300D still has it's original sisal mats, so when I bough Cocomats for my 107, I bought the sisal. They look a bit more conservative that the Cocomats a friend bought for his C-class. Personal choice whatever, but great mats.

The factory floor mats are a very high quality rubber mat which form fits. They are attached with two grommets close to the seat. The rears are a bit small and tend to slide forward. I went to the site and pretended to order and they only asked for year and body style- so a set will generically fit the C, E and S class. That right there turned me off. A set of four was $369 plus $18 shipping (UPS ground).
