Just Purchased another CDI to replace my totaled CDI

Hi, guys.... First, I'd like to thank all of you who responded to my original " 2006 CDI Totaled" Thread... The information and inspirational comments were greatly appreciated.

I was watching a CDI that was for sale locally for $6.995, it was not a 2006 like my previous one as it is a 2005. Three days ago, the seller (a dealer) dropped the price to $5,995.00. That inspired me to take yesterday off because I thought that if I waited until today (Saturday) it would surely be sold.

Let me tell you about this car. Compared to my former 2006 this 2005 is superior. I actually thought that my 2006 was a great car and I just realized that it wasn't as my 2006 had problems with acceleration that were tolerable but had I known that a CDI was capable of being THIS FAST I would have never purchased the 2006.

My wife and I drove out there, as soon as we pulled onto the dealer lot I saw it and it looked much better than my former one did. I was immediately excited!

THE CAR HAS 177,000 miles on it! I went over the car with a fine toothed comb, I removed the engine cover and checked for black death immediately and there were no indications of it. I took my dipstick that I bought along and checked the oil, it is the first time in my life that I've seen a diesel with oil so clean that I could see through it. I also saw many new parts including that brake distribution box (silver in color) that I have heard about always needing replacement.

THEN I checked EVERYTHING and I mean everything... The battery is brand new, EVERYTHING worked with the exception of the back windshield sunscreen as it is stuck in the up position.

My wife and I took it for a test drive, the suspension is super tight, amazingly so and I decided to do a 0- 60 timed test and my wife has a stop watch app on her phone... IT DID 0 - 60 in 6.6 SECONDS!..... I looked over at me wife, she just smiled and said "BUY IT!"

So, we get back and I tell the guy that I'm willing to purchase, he wouldn't go lower than $5800 because he had just dropped the price $1,000. So we agreed at $5,800.00

While inside with him signing purchase documents while simultaneously contacting my insurance company to have it added so I could drive it home, and giving the dealer the money, shaking his hand!... My wife comes in and while looking in the owner's manual packet she finds a thick stack of Maintenance records... The dealer and I look through them and he says he would have never dropped the price $1,000 if he had seen the car's pedigree! Just in June the owner did new brakes, rotors, inner and outer wheel bearings, transmission service and new transducer plate, new brake pads and the replacement of the above mentioned distribution box and battery for the brakes... From day one, this car was serviced exclusively by the local Mercedes Dealership and I have all of the records to prove it!

I LOVE THIS CAR, I am attaching pictures so you guys can offer me your opinions, it would be appreciated!..... Thank you so much
