Intermittent start problem update
2005e320, CDI, 126k
So far the engine fires right up when cold, but Sometimes won’t when warm. This problem just started this week. If I let it sit for a few minutes it will start, at least so far. No code on my reader other than 930E which refers to The main battery , and that does need To be upgraded. |

Crankshaft position sensor?

Wasn't that the suggestion made in post #2 of the thread you started on this same subject yesterday? http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/diesel-discussion/408313-won%92t-start-when-hot.html
When the crank position sensor began to fail on my wife's '06 E350 gasser, there was no CEL and apparently no stored information in the car's computer. The dealership had it for a few days with the techs randomly driving it around before it "did its thing" for them and they could diagnose the sensor as bad. I have no idea, however, how applicable this is to your CDI.
