McMaster Viton Lines Weep on Injector Returns

I got the Viton lines like folks have used on here. Pretty consistently all my injectors are damp. The lines weep at the barb.

Do these lines need mini zip ties or hose clamps to hold?

Looks like tygon. Works pretty well but does get stiff after a little while. from my experience it Continues to work as long as its undisturbed. 1/8” ID ? How long have you been running it?
I got 5119k41 from McMaster. 1/8 Id, high temp viton tubing for chemicals. Been working great for a while now. Still supple enough to pull off the barb and push back on with out trimming.

Yeah you’re right, I looked at the receipt and it’s tygon, fwiw.

Installed in August. Have wept slightly, on and off, since day one. They are soft and flexible.

They just seep a bit at the nipples. Sometimes the injectors look dry, most of the time
They’re at least a little damp at the top.

I was really sold on this stuff for years. Somebody recently pointed out one of my lines was weeping at a GTG this summer. I used a metric size from China. It fits pretty tight but one of my injectors weeps a bit on hot days. Tygon.

I believe people have said the real Mercedes line was updated. That may be so for the similar line sold by the VW dealer.

You can actually leak off enough fuel that would have covered the cost of new lines.

The other issue is if the nipples got nicked while removing the old lines.

I don't know what size they are but there is some diesel SUV that used tiny spring clips on the return lines.

I never have had issue with the Mercedes line. Just thought I’d try this stuff on a whim.

If one was weeping I’d agree that maybe a nipple was busted. Since all of them do it at various points I think it’s the line.

The tiny spring clips might be the answer. I have plenty of original MB line as well since I have a lot of these cars.

No leaks from the 1/8" Viton hose I put on both my 2 300D maybe 6 years ago. Bought on ebay from China, so must be real Viton. Dark brown.

Spring clips are good … but if you look at the picture there is no room for them to fit low enough down to clamp.
I purchased some viton to put on my om606 years ago but the injector barb did not have enough clearance between barb and body for it to physically fit.. viton always has a slightly thicker wall than rubber leak off hose.
