i have never seen the fluid bad enough to change, what color is it? if it is clear to amber i would leave it alone. but if you decide to do it be sure to grt it from mercedes or a supplier that sells mercedes fluid

Go to a Mercedes dealer and get the special hydraulic fluid. The guy at the service counter will know exactly what you want. It costs about $18 per quart U.S. the last time I bought it. But as stated above, if it looks clear and the resevoir is full, why mess with it.

Which now begs the question....where did it go. You may want to check underneath the center of the chassis to look for leaks. Good luck- Bob |

I'd check from the center toward the rear of the car. There are water drain holes in the chassis/engine cover that may reveal leaking fluid path. If you're not seeing fluid in the front by the windshield/visors, then it seems logical that either the side or rear cylinders may be the source of 'missing' fluid.
