I'm no hater now, back in HS and college i was pretending to be straight but i secretly envied those attractive girls in their basket-cars.

Personally, i like the New Beetle convertible more than the basket car. If Chrysler would make a PT Cruiser convertible without the handle i could see myself actually buying one of those but again I really like the Beetles. Roomier than the Cabrio too.

I don't think they made one, but a New Beetle convertible...excuse me, I meant Cabriolet, would be nifty in a tdi configuration. A 1.8 turbo would also be nice, if you had to stoop to scarfing gaz. Lady Z would probably find some way to reward me if I came home with one of those, but alas, she needs to tote around two lil ones on a reglah basis. The only vehicle she ever shed tears over was our old hyper-reliable '73 Super Beetle, which was in nearly flawless pristine condition.

A new Audi A4 Cabriolet is a fairly svelte machine as well.

Doesn't H2O2 have a kind of VW convertible that he might be willing to sell you?

He he, I sold that with the farm. I'm assuming they use that to haul organic veggies from the field these days.

my '87 wolfsburg 16v gti golf was one of the best cars I ever had.

I say go for it!

damn, i am gonna have to agree with narwhal once again..

but i still like the old (<'72) cabrio beetles...
