Apparently a Weezianna band Cowboy Mouth
Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey!
She had all the tattoos and the piercings Hates everything says everybody's wrong She dressed like she slept with Guns and Roses But I busted her singing all the boy band songs She had to go simply because and I let her go like she never was cause I didn't know and I don't care what she does she had to go cause she didn't know who Joe Strummer was Hey! At night when we stood in line for hours waiting to see my favorite punk rock band I played with the passion and the power but she's only there for all the fashion trends with her clueless friends She had to go, she had to go simply because, simply because, and I let her go, I let her go like she never was, like she never was cause I didn't know, cause I didn't know and I don't care what she does, simply because, she had to go cause she didn't know who Joe Strummer was, Joe Strummer was, Joe Strummer was She started talkin' bout me and my life but why would I wanna be with someone who doesn’t know the Clash save my life Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Go! It's not that she didn't rock my casaba it's not that I couldn't burn her London down, it's just that she kept on disappearing whenever the Sandanestas came to town and burned it down She had to go, she had to go simply because, simply because, and I let her go, I let her go like she never was, like she never was cause I didn't know, cause I didn't know and I don't care what she does, simply because, she had to go cause she didn't know who Joe Strummer was, Joe Strummer was, Joe Strummer was, Joe Strummer was, Joe Strummer was, Joe Strummer was, Joe Strummer was, Joe Strummer was She had to go, (she don't know) she had to go, (she don't know) she had to go, (she don't know) she had to go (she don't know) Go! Yeah, Cowboy Mouth was popular around here for several years of local play. Haven't heard of them for a few years. Are they still around? Another band that often played with Cowboy Mouth was Spank the Monkey. Yep.

Cowboy Mouth...wow that brings back memories! used to listen to them all the time down in NOLA. Fred LeBlanc was in Dash Rip Rock with Bill Davis, a friend of the wife and me. Dash was/is a sort of Mojo Nixon type band, I liked Cowboy Mouth better. Was at the House of Blues when they went on their record contract tour back in the mid nineties. They rocked the f&*king house......

The Clash were the Punk band that took Punk into a new direction. They actually made music and not noise and the lyrics were intelligent and made you think. I always thought they were the ultimate expression of Punk. I mean no disrespect to the Ramones or the SexPistols, but the Clash made it possible for bands like Blondie, Talking Heads, etc to get more cerebral while keeping Punk cred.
I know I was very sad when Joe died. I had always hoped that the Clash would get back together.
