The 6 speed Triptonic (sp?) is awesome.

It can be shifted manually, it can be left in automatic mode and it can be set to "sport" mode.

Headlight pic

Here is a pic of the headlights...the low beam light has a nice, little V-Dub emblem...

What I want to know is how come you got an extra cylinder and the car isn't any bigger than my TT but you got a lot more room under the hood than I do? Looks nice, good job. New cars are always fun. But apparently, judging by the tread on the rear tires, you haven't broke in the E-brake yet

Your pictures are better than the press photos.

A couple things I like are what look like some interesting design features, like the "cradles" or buttresses surrounding the center console leading to the dash. They almost look like grabber bars, but you wouldn't need any there. I'm sure they add rigidity, but they kind of look cool. Also, the textured/patterned door panels on the rear doors. Looks like there is very little overhang in th eback, which gives it almost a Ford Ka look to the rear, which I like too.

Things I don't like: nothing-I'm being weaned off my xB fabtasies and thinking VW!

Thanks...the car has a lot of nice touches.

My daughter is very pro-environment and she will like the PZEV rating...the car barely pollutes

I like all the dimensions. It is a very modern Euro design. I think that wagons and hatchbacks rock...

I like the new modern VWs as they have excellent build quality for the types of cars they build, and compete with. You chose the best car out of the types of cars you were looking at.

I am a big VW fan. I love how the little 1.8T just seems like it has a ton of power. It is a little REV happy motor. That thing truely is a bat outta hell. I love those little cars. I think that later on in life there may be a 1.8T golf or Jetta parked next to the 300TE....

Well, I hope we chose well...there seem to be so many choices in that field, including the perennially well-received Hondas. But Japanese cars just leave me cold....

I parked it next to the 300TE and the 300TE looks huge...like a tank...

Hey, that looks REAL inviting, from the inside. I can just imagine what fun it was on the trip to Santa Barbara yesterday, all that and the new car smell too (With care, it can be made to last a long time!!)

Black is a job to keep clean, but they sure look good when they are clean.

This is a VERY respectable middle class automobile anywhere in Europe - spot on for the gas prices these days. It looks great in your driveway!!
